SIMPLE LIFE

THE WORLD IS COMPLICATED
ACHIEVING YOUR DREAMS DOESN'T HAVE TO BE

Rooted in research across philosophy, health, psychology, creativity, environmental science, spirituality, and even economics, this blog reflects my belief that living simply—with awareness and intention—clears a path to realizing our most meaningful dreams and to ultimately achieving our greatest purpose. Here, I seek not just answers, but better questions. Join me in untangling the complexities of modern life and rediscovering what it means to live with purpose, joy, and connection.

Living simply

It's my steadfast belief that for all the ways we've made life "easier," we've sacrificed way too much simplicity in the process. The conveniences of modern living often come at the cost of depth, connection, and peace. I crave a slower rhythm, a less cluttered existence, a more thoughtful path. Here, I draw on the work of nutritionists, environmentalists, scholars, spiritual teachers, economists and others in hopes to return to a simpler way of life.

I’ve always felt I was meant to achieve something big, but struggled with focus—and as I’ve grown, the stakes have grown too. I want to provide for my family. I want to do meaningful work. I want to feel alive doing both. And yes, I want to please myself and those around me. The more I try to find success, the more boxed in I feel by expectations, the more stuck I get in the process. This section is about unlearning those expectations, and relearning life's lessons in a way that connects to the core of who I am what I'm here to do. It’s a space for bold ideas, honest questions, and the belief that true success lies in alignment—not in achievement alone. I hope the ideas help you as much as they've helped me.

I’ve always felt I was meant to achieve something big, but struggled with focus. As I’ve grown, the stakes have grown too. I want to provide for my family. I want to do meaningful work. I want to feel alive and impassioned doing both. And, yes, I want to please myself and those around me. The more I strive for success, the more boxed in I feel. This is where I shake off expectations and explore bold ideas, honest questions, and the belief that true success lies in alignment—not achievement alone.

Fieldnotes

The world moves fast—and in the rush, we create mess: in our homes, our habits, and our heads. Fieldnotes is where I pause, reflect, and think twice about how we live. In this section I process what I experience, read, hear, and observe in the world; hopefully in a way that makes more sense.

Before there were influencers, there were influences. I have many influences and very few of them are influencers. Their works run so much deeper than trends, and this section highlights the ideas and practices that keep my mind sharp, my body engaged, and my curiosity alive. These thinkers are the roots of my work and the spark behind so much of what I write. Enjoy!

ways I Use AI

Being enraged with Chat GPT got old fast. I've made a dedicated effort to find ways I feel comfortable using AI, and while it's still hard to admit, it's an incredible timesaving and brainstorming resource that gives me more time to write. I hope you find these ideas as useful as I have.
